DANGEROUS SLEEP IN BRIGHT LIGHT

Sleep is natural human need. After we do many activities in a day, our body require a period of rest to regenerate body cells that have died. When we got good sleep our metabolism will be reorganized and we also have opportunity to regenerate cells that died. Because of that sleep is important for human. But, do you know guys how to get a good sleep? One way to get a good sleep you should turn off the light at the normal bedtime (09.00 pm to 05.00 am) to get the maximum Hormone Melatonin.
According to the research of scientists, the human body needs darkness to produce The Hormone Melatonin. This hormone can cause drowsiness, by decreasing little amount of body temperature. From that, sleeping process become faster, because usually the body temperature down around beginning bedtime. That way someone can sleep soundly without interuption.
In addition Hormone Melatonin also helps us to cope emotional problem to depression problem, beside that this hormone serves to increase endurance and overcome the low immune system.  This is because that hormone works to support metabolism in the body that constantly change with physical activity, mental condition, and stress.
Unfortunately, it is to stop producing these hormones, Prof. Russel Reiter of Texas University said, “Once you sleep and you don’t turn off the light, then your brain immediately recognize the light, the production of Hormone Melatonin is going straight downhill.”
What if our body can’t produce enough The Hormone Melatonin in a long time? The result can be fatal, because there was a variety of disease (ex : insomnia, cancer, etc.). A conference on childreen who suffer leukimia which was held in London, England State that people can suffer cancer because they take too long using light when they sleep at night.
Hormone Melatonin is a substance produced by the pineal gland ,in the brain that the formation is triggered by the dark, and and control the body’s rhythm in terms of sleeping arrangements. The highest levels found in the morning at around 02.00-04.00 and the lowest in the afternoon. It also answers why more and more people get older the less sleep, because naturally, the production of Hormone Melatonin is also expected to fall, in line with the age of man. Drastic reduction usually occurs around the age of 40 years so that the decrease of this hormone will decrease the quality of sleep and often have an effect on sleep difficulties.
Another benefit from this hormone is as antioxidant whisch is soluble in fat and water, improve the body’s immune, helps improving mood and relieve tension. So it’s best if we switched off the light before we sleep in order to maximize the production of Hormone Melatonin
